Game Recap

The Pioneers took sole possession of first place in the Classic Suburban with a hard fought 5-2 victory over South St. Paul.  Brian Arrigoni scored just 12 seconds after the Packers had taken a 1-0 lead, and Tim Dickhudt put the Pioneers ahead for good late in the first period.  Billy Leier scored his first varsity goal, blasting a shot from the left faceoff circle past Alex Stalock, who finished with 40 saves.  James Fangel had another strong game for Hill-Murray, stopping 31 shots.

The Pioneer power play has 7 goals in 14 chances over the past three games.  For the season, they have scored as many shorthanded goals (8) as they have allowed while shorthanded.
