Game Recap Hill-Murray clinched the Classic Suburban championship, but it didn't come easy in a 3-2 win over St. Thomas. Tim Dickhudt got the Pioneers on the board at 1:03 of the first period, but St. Thomas came right back with their first goal against Hill-Murray since 1987. Peter Croonquist set up Brian Arrigoni for a goal, and Sam Kelly scored on a breakaway for a 3-1 lead. Bobby Ridley finished the scoring when he put in his own rebound early in the third period. The 5+ game shutout streak against St. Thomas was the second longest on record against any one opponent. St. Paul Central was the victim of shutouts in their first eight games against HM (1978-1982). The streak was finally stopped when HM scored on themselves in a 21-1 rout to open the 82-83 season. [Home] [History] [Schedule] [Standings] [Roster] [Video] [Links]
