Game Recap

Hill-Murray turned the tables on Tartan after going 0-1-1 against the Titans last year. Billy Leier, who played a solid all-around game, one-hopped a point shot past Cary Wood for the game winner with 3:11 left in regulation. It was an intensely played game by both teams, with Tartan twice coming back from two goal deficits. Joey McEnaney's wrap around was the only goal of the first period, but things really opened up in the second. With Hill-Murray on a short power play, Sam Kelly put in a rebound, but Tartan tied the game with two quick goals. Hill-Murray regained the lead at 6:16 when Brian Arrigoni skickhandled in from center ice and slid the puck under Wood with a defenseman all over him. 28 seconds later, Leier sent Sam Yearsley in for a breakaway goal. Tartan got to within 4-3 on a last second goal by Aaron Purpur, who set up Ryan Bradshaw for the tying goal midway through the third.
